TerraFirmaCraft Mod was initially to make the world a more realistic place. At first this just meant making the geography more realistic, but as time went on, it became apparent that terrain features were not enough to make survival mode feel right. Many others had tried to change things by making new monsters and realms, but it never felt like they addressed the core problem with Survival mode.

Mar 18, 2021 Terrafirmacraft+ is a continuation of 1.7.10 Terrafirmacraft, a mod that aims to make Minecraft more believable and realistic by overhauling many of its features, by Dunkleosteus, a former developer. It is suited for experienced players of vanilla Minecraft, whom feel that an amount of complexity and detail has been lacking in the vanilla game. TerraFirmaCraft edit edit source TerraFirmaCraft is a mod for Minecraft 1.7.10, currently in Beta Build 0.79.29.922. Inspired by Dwarf Fortress, its main aim is to give Survival mode more depth and realism. An introduction to the differences from Minecraft can be found here: Differences from Minecraft. TFC also adds new crops and fruit trees as alternative food sources. Progressing through the game consists of 3 main ages: Stone, Casting, and Iron. The stone age consists of primitive tools that take fairly long periods of time to complete tasks such as chopping down trees, and doesn't always result in the maximum output.
The world generation is very different from vanilla Minecraft, featuring a wide variety of biomes, stone layers, and vegetation. This mod is designed to make Minecraft survival more challenging and complex, while still being fun to play.
